Taking current photos is fun. Explore the house if you dare...watch out for holes in the floors and walls that are leaning. I want to capture the house as it is right now. Many more photos to come.
Living room- one of the front windows looking west, you can see some of the 1950s or 60s updates included hollow-core doors. The wallpaper and plaster are loose.
Thank you! Yes, an iPhone 15Pro. I started with an slightly older iPhone though and upgraded just for this project. I got some great advice from a dear friend and a truly excellent, accomplished photographer about different digital cameras, which makes, which lenses, etc., and was going to go that way (loving camera equipment anyway and holding a 'real' camera in your hands when you take photos adds to the experience, at least for me). I was going to go with about a $1000 model. Then I consulted with my neice who is an amazing photographer and she recommended just getting the best iPhone...she thought otherwise I might have to spend too much time editing digital photos from a more typical camera (hadn't thought of that). I was kind of like..huh...not sure... I want to feel like a real photographer. Then finally I talked with a member of our writing group. Also an excellent and professional photographer and presented him with the two options above. He suggested the iPhone, between a learning curve because of what I was used to, and the convenience of carrying a phone around (which I always do). I love having contacts!
I think your pictures are really beautiful. You always seem to get an interesting angle and way of framing things. Are you using an iPhone?
